announces
application procedures
for study in the doctoral program for academic year 2013-14 in the discipline of:
Engineering of Agricultural Technological Systems (EATS) – instruction and other activities in English.
Dissertation topics for the above named discipline are listed in the attachment.
The course of study is organized in the form of on-campus 3-year or distance-learning 3-year too.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a master’s program at a university –Faculty of Engineering of CULS Prague (FE), or another university faculty with a similar orientation;
- Submission of an application including attachments, i.e., CV, list of publications, documentation of university graduation – diploma and supplements to the diploma (for graduates of foreign universities, a diploma with nostrification; for proof of graduation from a Czech university, a certified copy of the documents, or a copy of the documents with the original diploma made available for examination, the state exam must be completed by the 30th of June, 2013 at the latest, before the entrance exams the applicant must present a transcript of grades, certified by the Office of Studies;
- The theme of the dissertation must be stated on the application;
- The applicant must attach to the application proof of payment (e.g., the original receipt) of the registration fee in the amount of 550.00 CZK (about 30USD or 25 EUR); address of the payee: CULS Prague, Kamýcká 129, 165 21 Praha – Suchdol, account number.: 00019-5504550287, bank code: 0100, variable symbol: 3175000112, constant symbol: 0179, specific symbol 31900;
- After a student is accepted into the program a contract will be signed concerning payment of fees for study (without a signed contract, the decision on acceptance into the program of study is invalid). Study fee at the Faculty of Engineering for one year of Ph.D. study is 150.000 CZK (about 8 000 USD or 6 100 EUR).
The applicant shall complete the application for study using the web application e-doktorand at the address
http://edoktorand.czu.cz/prijimacky/. The applicant shall send the electronic application and submit a printed version with attachments (see above) to the International Relations Office TE CULS Prague (Mrs. Marečková)—
by the 31st of May, 2013 (electronic as well as printed versions).
The applicant to the study program shall sit for an oral entrance exam:
- in two foreign languages: E, plus one foreign language—choice of Cz, G, F, S, R;
- in specialized disciplines related to the discipline and topic in the preceding study at FE CULS Prague.
Entrance exams will be held 20th of June, 2013. Applicants shall arrive on that day at 8:30 a.m. at room FE no. 54/III (ground floor, building III) for registration and for information about the course of the exams.
The above notification serves in place of an invitation to the entrance exam.
The dean of the FE makes decisions about acceptance to the study program on the basis of the result of the application procedure and the opinion of the head of the department to which the applicant is applying.
Applicants will be informed in writing about their acceptance into (rejection from) the program.
