Research.com, a leading academic platform for scientists and researchers, has just published the 2026 edition of its ranking of top scientists in the field of environmental sciences.

On Monday, 1 June 2026, 93 new professors received their appointment decrees from President Petr Pavel at Karolinum. Two representatives of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague obtained the highest academic title: František Hnilička from the Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources, and Lukáš Zagata from the Faculty of Economics and Management.

This year’s edition marked the icy weather brought by Saint Boniface, but the enthusiastic athletes were undeterred. Especially not those who, at the end of the day, claimed the championship trophy of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague for an entire year and celebrated to the famous anthem of champions by Queen. This time, fortune smiled on the team from the Faculty of Economics and Management, which defeated the Rectorate athletes by a single point. Third place went to the Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources. For everyone involved, Thursday, 14 May, provided a welcome break from the daily work routine and a day full of sporting competition.
