There are no limits to the imagination! You can choose from a huge number of universities, laboratories, companies, non-profit organisations, associations, sports clubs, farms, agricultural groups, student organisations, research institutes and any other organisation that has legal status for your traineeship.
CZU does not have to have a signed contract with the selected organisation.
What are the best searching methods to find a receiving organisation?
A) Internet portals
Organisations from all over Europe share their traineeship offers on various online portals. For example, we recommend you check out:
- erasmusintern.org
- globalplacement.com
- myinternship.eu
- trainingexperience.org
- workaway.info
- environmentjobs.com
B) Email contact
Don't be afraid to contact a potential receiving organisation by email. You can find the email address on the organisation's website. If you don't have experience in writing formal emails, check out our email templates. Don't forget to attach your CV. You can use a wide range of online tools to create a CV, like Europass nebo Canva. You might also try contacting the organisation directly through social networks such as Instagram or Facebook.
It is important not to give up on your search if the organisation does not reply or rejects you. Continue working hard and you will find the right organisation. We recommend to contact at least 10+ potential receiving organisations.
It's not possible to complete an Erasmus traineeship:
- European Union institutions (e.g. the European Parliament)
Must my tranieeship position be related to my field of studies?
Not necessarily. Of course, having a traineeship related to your field of studies is better - it will help you gain more experience - but it is not a condition. The faculty decides about the approval of a traineeship application that is not related to your field.
We always recommend having a traineeship that is at least slightly related to your field of study. For example, if you are studying wood engineering, there is not much of a chance that you would be accepted for a hotel receptionist placement... :)
Interactive map of former traineeship destinations
If you need some inspiration when looking for an organisation and are interested in knowing where the CZU students and graduates went for their internships over the past 3 years, take a look at the interactive map below. The website where you can find the necessary contacts is also listed for each of the organisations. The organisations on the map are colour-coded according to the faculty of the traineeship participant. However, feel free to check all the destinations.
