General information about project

Project name: R&D of coconut processing line
Programme Name: EPSILON Applied Research and Experimental Development Support Programme
Call number: STA02017TH02 - EPSILON 2
Call title: EPSILON Applied Research and Experimental Development Support Programme
Project title: R&D of a technological line for coconut processing
Project registration number: TH02010608
Project description: The main objective of the project is to significantly increase the quantity and quality of new findings of applied research and experimental development in the field of extraction of vegetable oil from the kernel of coconuts - copra. The project will contribute to the research and development of a complete technological line for coconut processing involving peeling, dehulling, drying, crushing and pressing of the oil using the waste material (husk) as a source of energy for drying the feedstock. The resulting products will be oil for food and industrial use, pomace for feed use and thermal or electrical energy. New advanced abrasion resistant materials will be used in the development of the new machine parts, bringing higher durability, lower maintenance requirements and being environmentally friendly.
